dear friends,
When I traveled in Palestine this summer, two things were obvious nearly everywhere I went. First, as you know, the situation on the ground is dire. Gaza attacked again. Pressure and restrictions on Palestinians everywhere. Threat of forced displacement in Masafer Yatta.
It’s distressing and disappointing, of course, that our years of activism in the U.S. (and elsewhere) have yet to improve conditions for Palestinians. After years of struggle, it would be all too easy to give in to despair, to wonder what our work and our wins here in the U.S. have achieved.
But in Palestine I also saw how Palestinian resistance on the ground is alive and strong. New generations are taking up the struggle, and they are asking us to keep fighting and organizing until Palestine is free.
With you by our side, that’s exactly what we’re doing. Yes, progress has been slow. But our gains here—in public perception, in attitudes among progressives, and even on Capitol Hill—are real.
Who would have thought that the board of a large international corporation, Ben & Jerry’s, would wage a public campaign against its parent company to resist Israeli apartheid? Who could have predicted a resolution recognizing the Nakba in Congress? Who would have thought a major environmental organization would cancel their trips to Israel, even temporarily?
Now is not the time to lose faith. We need your help to double-down on the gains we’ve made, to invest even more in the important work of building our movement here in the U.S.
Our future is bright. Justice is on our side. We all have important roles to play as we keep resisting, as we keep fighting until Palestine is free.
Thank you for all you allow USCPR to do. Thanks for your commitment to liberation. I hope the work highlighted in this report—from leadership development, to movement coordination, to working with grassroots activists throughout the U.S.—inspires you to do what you can to keep fighting towards our collective liberation.
With you, fighting until Palestine is free,

2021-2022 in review
Your financial support allows us to keep fighting for Palestinian rights day in and day out. Here are highlights from the past 12 months.
Normalizing Israeli Ethnic Cleansing Act ·
February 2022
Supporters like you called out H.R. 2748, which we’ve named the Normalizing Israeli Ethnic Cleansing Act. This harmful bill expands Trump-era weapons and business deals between apartheid Israel and other authoritarian regimes, while sidelining Palestinian demands for justice.
Youth Fellows
preparing the next generation’s leaders
USCPR debuted a pilot program for youth fellows in 2020. Each fellow dedicates their time to an issue that is a local priority for their organization. USCPR staff members support fellows in campaign development with tools like power mapping, goal-setting, campaign escalation, and more. Campaigns build toward USCPR’s goal of ending U.S. military funding to Israel.

2022 Fellow Highlights
Our Maryland fellow facilitated Palestine education for a 100-person ‘Badges Without Borders’ tour of Washington, DC to highlight connections between local policing and Israeli violence in Palestine.
Our fellow in Indianapolis successfully encouraged Rep. André Carson to sign Rep. Cori Bush’s letter to the State Department on Masafer Yatta.
In Seattle, our fellow created the Seattle Palestine Action Network, bringing groups that were organizing separately around Palestine together into a new formation.
And in a huge win, our Portland fellow facilitated connections between labor organizers, resulting in the Oregon branch of the AFL-CIO historically passing a resolution calling for state divestment from the Israeli spyware company NSO Group.
Fellows—in their own words
fatima, maryland
“Not only have my organizing skills grown and improved during the course of the fellowship, but I have gained confidence in myself as an organizer.”
alex, texas
“The resources provided through USCPR’s fellowship were deeply beneficial when developing grassroots advocacy work in Houston.”
Divesting from Injustice

The Demilitarize network supports local campaigns in divesting from injustice and militarism and investing in local needs and racial justice. Throughout the past year, we have supported the launch of Demilitarize campaigns with three primary targets: Allied Universal, Boeing, and U.S.-Israel police exchange programs.
USCPR collaborated with the Chicago-based group Dissenters throughout fall 2021 on the DivestFromDeath Week of Action and on the campaigns, especially against Boeing, that grew from it. We supported organizing by the UC Divest coalition in Los Angeles, which is targeting the UC Regents’ investments in weapons corporations.
from the streets to washington, dc
USCPR continues to play a major role in organizing and implementing strategies to advance Palestinian rights on Capitol Hill. Highlights include:
In early 2022, we brought together 10 national Palestinian solidarity groups for a virtual policy retreat to foster coordination on Congressional advocacy for Palestine.
We produced a memo on the dangers of the Israel Relations Normalization Act of 2021 and led a Congressional briefing on the bill that 13 offices attended.
Since Israel outlawed six leading Palestinian human rights organizations, we have challenged this dangerous development with petitions and a memo urging support for H. Res.751, Rep. Betty McCollum’s bill to condemn Israel’s criminalization of the six groups.
We’ve raised awareness about the threat of expulsions in Masafer Yatta by hosting several live video updates from Palestine, organizing a dozen organizations in the U.S. to coordinate action, and rallying USCPR supporters to contact elected officials.
Rooting resistance for future generations

Olive trees are synonymous with Palestinian resistance—and that makes them a target of the brutal Israeli occupation. Since 1967, Israel has destroyed nearly 800,000 olive trees, an attempt to erase family and community traditions rooted in the land.
That’s why the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights has partnered with the Palestine Fair Trade Association (PFTA) since 2010 to plant over 25,000 olive saplings across Palestine. In October 2021, generous supporters like you planted over 3,400 olive trees in Palestine.
